A pianist, a vocalist, a cabaret singer – Karen Giorgio is as
at home behind a piano in an intimate cabaret lounge as she is on stage
belting out a standard or show tune with a jazzy ensemble. Karen currently lives in San Diego, California where, in between concerts
and gigs, she mentors future musical stars and enjoys her canine “children”
and her garden. Born and raised in New York, she began her musical career at age seven
learning piano and training as an opera singer. By her tenth birthday,
the lure of Broadway brought her into the limelight with the lead role
as Francie in A Tree Grows In Brooklyn and summer stock and off-Broadway
productions. Moving to California, she starred as Julie in Carousel at Hollywood
High School and soloed with the Hollywood Symphony Orchestra at the
Hollywood Bowl. After raising two children she embarked on a five-year tour. During
this tour, she performed on the finest cruise ships and hotels throughout
the world delighting audiences in Scandinavia, Holland, Japan, Mariana
Islands, the Caribbean, Bermuda, Canada, New York, Los Angeles and San
Diego. Karen, as an accomplished cabaret entertainer demonstrates her artful
ability to sell a song with her CD, “Expressions” which she
produced with Joe Fos at the piano and Stan Booth on Bass. Joe will
be accompanying Karen in her forthcoming concert, “Cabaret My Way”
along with Bill Andrews on bass and Ric Henry as guest vocalist. In between concerts and recording sessions, Karen performs in San Diego
at the Westgate Hotel and the Park Manor Suites Hotel. She maintains
